Adriana Sampaio has a PhD in Clinical Psychology (Neuroscience) from the University of Minho in 2006. She is a MD from University of Porto - ICBAS. She is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Basic Psychology at the School of Psychology of the University of Minho.
Currently, her research focuses on the study of neurodevelopmental processes, specifically the study of the influence of genetics, brain (structure and function) and environment on several sensorial, cognitive and emotional processes that occur throughout development. As part of her work, Adriana Sampaio has published several articles in international journals, collaborating with several research teams (Spain, France, United Kingdom, Brazil and USA). She is the director of the Neuropsychophysiology Lab and has been the principal investigator of several projects funded by FCT and Fundação Bial. She was awarded with her work in the field of research in Psychology.
