Assistant Professor at School of Psychology, University of Minho (Portugal). Director of the Master in Applied Psychology. Expert in forensic psychological evaluation, developing leading research on Forensic Psychology and Victimology at CIPsi (Researcher center). Principle researcher of several projects financed by FCT (Portuguese National Funding Agency for Science, Research and Technology) about dating violence, multiple vitimization of women and stalking. Principle researcher of projects financed by the Portuguese government, such as the GAM Project (Mutual helping groups to women victims of domestic violence) and Criminal Procedures regarding Traffic in Persons. Coordinator the II Evaluation of the National Plan Against Human Trafficking. Scientific consultant of CarryOn Project (financed by EEA Grants), directed to victims of domestic violence.
Scientific supervisor of forensic psychologists in criminal matters (victims of domestic violence and rape) and civil (divorce and custody).
