European Biotech Week with the Portuguese Minister of Economy Back

The national celebration of the European Biotech Week takes place on September 25th (INL, Braga), 26th (Biocant, Cantanhede) and 28th (AESE, Lisbon). The event is organised by Portugal’s Biotechnology Industry Organisation, with the High Patronage of the Portuguese Republic Presidency. The opening session, at the INL in Braga, features the Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral.

3.30 p.m. | “Life sciences in nanotechnology”, by Lorenzo Pastrana, INL
3.50 p.m. | “Biotechnology R&D and the industry”, by Eugénio Ferreira, CEB UMinho
4.10 p.m. | “Translating nanotech research to the market”, by Pedro Viana Baptista, FCT/UNL
4.30 p.m. | Round-table “Interfacing bio and nanotechnology”, by the heads of Biomode, Criam, CUF, nanomedTAB and moderated by Simão Soares (P-BIO / SilicoLife).
5.30 p.m. | Wrap-up / closing remarks
5.50 p.m. | Visit to INL labs
