The Master's in Cognitive, Affective and Social Neuroscience aims to provide theoretical, practical, laboratory and applied training in neuroscience, promoting clinical, scientific, technological and innovation skills.

The programme seeks to:

  • Develop advanced competency-based training, with learning outcomes and student-centred pedagogical approaches;
  • Integrate the RDoC framework as a basis for understanding cognitive, affective and social processes, linking different levels of analysis and scientific fields;
  • Relate psychological processes to functional neuroanatomy, neurodevelopment, genetics, assessment methods and different application contexts;
  • Promote competencies in neuroscientific methodologies, including assessment techniques, laboratory methods, neuroimaging, neurophysiology, computational neuroscience and neurotechnology;
  • Strengthen quantitative and analytical skills through the transversal integration of data science applied to neuroscience;
  • Prepare professionals and researchers capable of working in clinical, laboratory, academic, organisational, technological and research, development and innovation settings;
  • Promote participation in scientific, laboratory and applied projects, encouraging scientific communication, critical thinking, autonomy and interdisciplinary collaboration;
  • Qualify graduates for professional practice in applied fields, where legally and regulatorily permitted, and for progression to doctoral studies.
