The PhD program in Applied Psychology aims to promote advanced training in applied psychology research, contributing to the advancement of knowledge, and the training of researchers and professionals with high scientific skills. This purpose is embodied in a training focused on the acquisition of research skills in applied contexts, and in the development of in-depth knowledge in the specific domains of candidate's projects. Throughout the 6 semesters, students will be engaged in a program that promotes the development of: 1. research methodology skills; and, qualitative and quantitative data analysis; and, 2. advanced knowledge and skills in specific scientific domains in Psychology: clinical, educational, and justice / forensics. All students are integrated into research units according to their research topic, and their individual research projects are developed in research teams.
