Selection criteria (with different weights)

(a) Degree average grade;

(b) Involvement in extra-curricular activities within the scope of experimental research;

(c) Letter of motivation for attending the master's degree;

(d) Interview performance.

 

Admissibility

(a) Applicants that hold a Degree in Psychology or Psychological Science(s);

(b) Applicants with a foreign higher academic degree awarded following a 1st cycle of studies in Psychology or Psychological Science(s) following the principles of the Bologna Process in an acceding State;

(c) Applicants with a foreign higher academic degree recognized as meeting the objectives of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Science(s);

(d) Applicants with an academic, scientific or professional curriculum recognized by the Scientific Council of the School of Psychology of the University of Minho as attesting to the ability to carry out this cycle of studies.

 

Foreign candidates must request, before submitting the application, the recognition of a degree for academic purposes through an application sent to sec_pedagogica@psi.uminho.pt (access the draft application here)

 

Application Documents

The application to the Master's Program in Human Cognition is made online through the application portal, submitting the following documents under penalty of non-acceptance of the application:

 

(a) Proof of qualifications;

(b) Curriculum Vitae (CV) presented in the format provided; (access the form here)

(c) Letter of motivation in which the main reasons for the application and the objectives to be achieved should be highlighted;

(d) Copy of Citizen's Card. (copy of Passport in case of international applicants)



Complaints

Following the release of results, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 51 of the Academic Regulations of the University of Minho:

1. Applicants may submit a duly substantiated appeal within 3 days of the date of publication of the selection and ranking lists.

2. Appeals must be addressed to the program director and sent to the email address provided in the relevant announcement.

3. Decisions regarding complaints are communicated by the Organic Unit, via email, to the complainants within 5 days.

4. If the complaint is upheld, resulting in the candidate's admission as a regular student, the Organic Unit, must conduct a new ranking and notify the Academic Management Service of this fact for the purposes of the candidate's enrollment and registration.

5. The candidates referred to in the preceding paragraph have 3 days to complete enrollment and registration after receiving notification to that effect from the Academic Management Service.

6. Appeals submitted after the deadline or that are not properly substantiated shall be summarily dismissed.
