1. Evaluation and ranking criteria

Applications considered admissible will be scored from 1.00 (minimum) to 5.00 (maximum) in each of the evaluation criteria:

A. Merit of the Candidate;

B. Interview

For the purposes of admission to the master's degree, candidates will be ranked according to the weighted average of the classification obtained in the criteria Merit of the candidate (50%) and Interview (50%).

For tie-breaking purposes, the candidates' ranking will be determined by the classifications assigned to each evaluation criterion, with the following order of precedence: A1. Academic Path, A2. Personal Curriculum and A3. Motivation letter.

For all evaluation criteria, classifications will have two decimal places. The values resulting from the application of any formulas specified in this guide will be rounded to the second decimal place, using the following rule: when the third decimal place is equal to or greater than 5 (five), it will be rounded up; When the third decimal place is less than five (5), the value of the second decimal place will be maintained.

Candidates whose application is evaluated with a final grade of less than 3.00 are not admitted to the program.

1.1 Criterion A – Merit of the Candidate (see the weightings of each paragraph)

The merit of the candidate, criterion A, with a weighting of 50%, is evaluated in three parameters:

A1. Academic Path (which reflects the grades of the academic degrees, with a weighting of 30% in the candidate's merit.

A2. Personal Curriculum, with a weighting of 40% of the candidate's merit.

A3. Motivation letter, with a weighting of 30% of the candidate's merit.

The classification of criterion A will be obtained by applying the following formula:

            Criteria A = (A1 × 0.3)+(A2 × 0.4)+(A3×0.3)

1.1.1 Parameter A1 – Academic Path

The score of this parameter is calculated based on the final grades contained in the academic degree certificates presented by the candidate in the application form (Bachelor's Degree), according to Table 1.

Table 1. Reference table for the definition of the score of parameters A1 – Academic Path

1 point – Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) with a grade below 14.

3 points - Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) with a grade of 14 or 15.

5 points - Bachelor's degree (180 ECTS) with a grade of 16 or higher.

1.1.2 Parameter A2 – Personal Curriculum

In the assessment of this sub-criterion, the evaluators must analyze and weigh the candidate's curriculum in an integrated way, starting from a global view of the merit of their personal, academic, scientific, and professional career. In this analysis, evaluators must consider the academic results that were not included in the calculation of the parameter A1 Academic Path (provided that the qualification certificates are attached to the application) as well as the various dimensions of the curriculum that can demonstrate a relevant personal, scientific and professional path, (e.g., participation in academic exchange programs,  collaboration in research teams/projects, publications and presentations at scientific meetings).

1.1.3 Parameter A3 – Motivation Letter

The classification to be awarded in this parameter should take into account the clarity with which the candidate identifies the reasons underlying his application, the maturity with which he faces his role in the learning process and personal and professional development throughout the master's degree, the expectations regarding the obtaining of the academic degree of master's degree for the professional career at the level of practice or research in Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.

1.2 Criterion B – Interview
