Admission to the Master in Educational Psychology

Candidates to this master must comply with one of the following mandatory requirements:

a) Hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology or Psychological Science (s) or legal equivalent;

b) Hold a foreign high education academic degree after completing a 1st cycle of studies in Psychology or Psychological Science(s). This 1st cycle of studies should comply the Bologna Process and be delivered by a signature member or legal equivalent;

c) Hold a foreign high education academic degree recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science(s) or legal equivalent;

d) Hold a school, scientific or professional curriculum that shows the candidate ability to enroll in the master academic activities. The curriculum merit needs to be recognized by the Scientific Council of the School of Psychology at the University of Minho.

 

Note: prior to submitting the application, foreign are expected to require (sec_pedagogica@psi.uminho.pt (please, find here the document) that the high education academic degree be recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science(s) or legal equivalent.

 

The application to the masters is online through the application portal. The following documents are mandatory

1. Copy of the Diploma or document issued by the foreign higher education institution proving the title of the degree or diploma for which recognition is required.

2. Copy of the passport

3. Motivation letter. Note, the major motivations and goals intended to achieve should be highlighted.

Complaints

Following the release of results, and in accordance with the provisions of Article 51 of the Academic Regulations of the University of Minho:

1. Applicants may submit a duly substantiated appeal within 3 days of the date of publication of the selection and ranking lists.

2. Appeals must be addressed to the program director and sent to the email address provided in the relevant announcement.

3. Decisions regarding complaints are communicated by the Organic Unit, via email, to the complainants within 5 days.

4. If the complaint is upheld, resulting in the candidate's admission as a regular student, the Organic Unit, must conduct a new ranking and notify the Academic Management Service of this fact for the purposes of the candidate's enrollment and registration.

5. The candidates referred to in the preceding paragraph have 3 days to complete enrollment and registration after receiving notification to that effect from the Academic Management Service.

6. Appeals submitted after the deadline or that are not properly substantiated shall be summarily dismissed.
