Goals

This program aims to:

(1) familiarize students with the central concepts of Work and Organizational Psychology, to comprehend its scientific basis and its application in diagnosing and intervene in real situations;

(2) familiarize students with the utility and concepts, techniques, practices of psychological research as well as of exploration of available data on organizational contexts,

(3) create awareness to students of the need to maintain an intellectual curiosity and professional aptitude of improvement all life long.

It also aims that students will be able to:

(4) diagnose the needs of individuals, groups and organizations, applying diagnostic models, scientifically valid and identifying adequate measures and instruments;

(5) to apply scientific knowledge of Work and Organizational Psychology to practice problems, adjusting them through research-action strategies;

(6) to draw psychological interventions, considering previous diagnosis, and elaborating a plan based on the best scientific practices;

(7) to use competencies of negotiation and change management in organizational contexts; (

8) to communicate with competency and professionalism the knowledge which they domain and develop;

(9) to behave as an autonomous professional and ethically responsible.
